Viettel Database Service (vDBS) is a PaaS service providing companies with databases in the cloud with many choices of Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as as Relational (MySQL,MariaDB, PostgreSQL,...) and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra,…), with high availability, saving time & effort for database configuration and operations

vDBS provides 03 options for redundancy levels to best serve different needs, as follows:
- Standalone (01 Node): suitable for Dev/Test environment, not suitable for Production needs requiring high availability;
- Active/Standby (Replication ≥ 02 Nodes): suitable for Production systems requiring high fault tolerance; when 01 Node is down service automatically switches to the standby Node in about 10-30 seconds;
- Active/Active (Clustering ≥ 03 Nodes): highest level of redundancy, service is almost always online without interruption (coming soon).

Customers apply vDBS in the form of deploying independent information system services and connecting to cloud databases through Access Port quickly and easily, cutting large investment costs for the private network layer.
Customers apply vDBS in the form of deploying information system services in the an environment with VPC Network privately, deploying together on Viettel Open Private Cloud (vOPC), Viettel Open Kubernetes Service (vOKS), Viettel Cloud Server (vCS) to access to cloud databases. Thereby, it helps increase the security and performance of the system.
