VCLOUDIA AND METFONE SIGN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP – BUILDING A COMPREHENSIVE CLOUD ECOSYSTEM IN CAMBODIA
Oct 31, 2025On October 30, 2025, in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Vcloudia – the Cloud brand of Viettel IDC in Cambodia – and Metfone, Cambodia’s leading telecommunications operator, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the development and commercialization of Cloud services.
The event marks an important milestone in the joint journey of expanding the digital ecosystem of both parties, aiming to bring cutting-edge Cloud technologies closer to local businesses and contribute to the acceleration of digital transformation and the growth of Cambodia’s digital economy.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Lê Đức Tuyến – Director of Vcloudia, stated:
“We believe that with the infrastructure
capabilities inherited from Viettel IDC and Metfone’s strong brand power, both sides will together develop a comprehensive, modern, and sustainable Cloud ecosystem – delivering practical value to Cambodian businesses while actively contributing to the nation’s digital transformation journey.”
Representing Metfone, Mr. Cao Mạnh Đức – General Director, emphasized the strategic spirit of the partnership:
“The collaboration between Metfone and Vcloudia is a natural step in expanding our business scope and completing the digital service ecosystem. We are committed to accompanying Vcloudia in developing comprehensive digital transformation solutions to serve not only Metfone’s customers but also the entire Cambodian business community.”
Under the agreement, both sides will jointly develop a comprehensive Cloud service ecosystem, including Cloud Server, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Backup & Storage, as well as security and smart infrastructure solutions, all operated on Viettel IDC’s international-standard Data Centers.
With Vcloudia’s deep expertise and experience in Cloud and Data Center services, combined with Metfone’s extensive telecom infrastructure and market reach, this collaboration will bring a secure, flexible, and efficient Cloud platform to support Cambodian enterprises in accelerating digital transformation and achieving sustainable growth in the digital era.
